- There are many ways you can help us help others:
- with a financial donation—via check (made payable to Alternatives for Battered Women), or charge card (Master Card or Visa). Your gift is 100% tax-deductible (as long as no
goods or services were received in return).

- by donating items on our wish list – but please note that:

- We do NOT accept off-season clothing (for example, winter coats in July) or dress clothing (work suits, evening wear)-our greatest need is for more casual clothing, plus items for children, especially teen boys.
- Donations of items like socks and underwear MUST be new and in unopened packages, please. Please contact Sondra (contact info below).
- by volunteering at ABW—you could help out one day a week, once a month, or even just once a year! Contact our Coordinator of Volunteer Services at (585)-232-5200, extension 234, for more details, or to schedule an appointment.
- organize a community fundraiser with your Scout troop, church group, sorority, etc. to benefit ABW. Dances, walk-a-thons, bake sales-put your thinking caps on, come up with a great idea, have some fun, and best of all, raise money for a good cause!
- name ABW in your will, or make another planned gift that benefits ABW. For more information about how you can make a gift while still enjoying benefits during your lifetime (e.g, a guaranteed interest rate and income), contact ABW’s Director of Development at the number listed below.
